PTB assists aviation industry

Recently PTB Machinefabriek in Groningen has aided the aviation industry by developing and producing zinc spark moulds. With the help of these moulds it is possible to accurately create holes in coolingtubes of airplane engines.

Since these zinc spark moulds are being used in an industry where accuracy and precision are of the utmost importance, PTB created the moulds out of high quality tool steel and Tooling Plate aluminium.
