Spark erosion

Spark erosion is part of spark machining, just like zinc sparking. Spark erosion makes use of an electrode to create spark eriosion. During this proces the product is placed in non-conductive oil. This is called diëlectricum, and cools the item down. It also removes the previously machined material.

The benefit of spark erosion, relative to other machining techniques like CNC milling and CNC machining, is the lower pressure on the item and better precision. Spark erosion is the solution when CNC milling and machining is not possible.
