Chemical blackening

Chemical blackening is a process that provides a matt or glossy black surface to metal products. Unlike other surface treatments, chemical blackening hardly provides any increased corrosion resistance. 

If you want to treat a product in order to increase its corrosion resistance, please look at our other surface treatments, such as galvanising, anodising and coating.
