PTB was founded in 1897 and is a Dutch family-owned company. The company has grown from a 19th century farriery to a group of companies with activities all over the world. All PTB companies focus on customer specific solutions, from custom-made logistical equipment to complete warehouse interiors.

PTB Machinefabriek was founded as a farriery in the city center of Groningen and has grown into a renowned name in its industry for high precision and high quality production and services. 

Part of the PTB Group

PTB Machinefabriek is a division of the PTB Group, a collective of 4 companies: PTB Transportmiddelen, PTB Machinefabriek, PTB Special Products and TransClusion. The entire group started with the founding of PTB Machinefabriek in 1897, which grew into a modern factory, having survived two world wars. 

PTB Special Products designs and produces custom-made material handling equipment for the transportation of heavy goods. PTB Transportmiddelen provides logistical equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, racking and industrial cleaning equipment. TransClusion is producer and importer of material handling equipment.

The full-service approach of PTB Machinefabriek offers A-Z solutions. Our core-business is the manufacturing of machinery and machine parts by means of a multitude of machining techniques. Though, PTB is not just a manufacturer. Our own engineering department designs machine parts, equipment and industrial tools. The combination of our high-tec machinery and experienced engineering department can assist you from concept, to technical drawing to the actual manufacturing of your product. Even after the completion of your product PTB can assist further by surface treatment of your materials, installation of your product and maintenance of your equipment.
